About Us

The Charleston Shag Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the South Carolina State Dance "The Shag". We usually hold club meetings on the first Sunday of each month. (Check event calendar for exceptions.) We currently meet at the Knights of Pythias Hall located at 1968 Belgrade Avenue in Charleston.

We also host monthly socials at various locations in the Charleston area. They are generally open to the public and we invite anyone who would like to learn to Shag.
