Geechee Times

Ted Cowart has gone on to a greater reward but he left this world a better place by having been here. He was a loving husband and father and a sensitive, caring friend to all who knew him. Nothing meant more to him than his wife Vanette and their two sons, Britton and Tobin. In all the years I knew Ted, never once did I hear him raise his voice in anger, demean others or speak of others in derogatory terms. I knew him as a laid-back, easy going man that loved and lived life to the fullest. He always exhibited a quiet confidence and a positive attitude that everything would work out for the best. There was nothing pretentious or phony about Ted. What you saw was what you got...a man's man,  tender-hearted almost to a fault, and a man I was proud to call my friend. I will miss him.  Have a happy journey, Ted.

A BIRTHDAY PARTY

I've never done this before, except with family, but I will be reaching a milestone in my life on February 3, 2006. So,  now I would like to invite my Shag family to J.B. Pivot's that night to share in the occasion. Dance to the music of Betty Brown, have some cake and ice cream and help me celebrate my 70th birthday. In case you might be wondering... ABSOLUTELY NO GIFTS. All I really want from you is to bring  your fine self out that night, have a good time and help me create a wonderful memory. I'd love for you to come. I hope you can make it!

WHEN: February 3, 2006  WHERE: J.B. Pivot's TIME: 8:00 PM

     Thanks,  Joe Tucker
