CSC MONTHLY MEETING March 5, 2006


All officers present: 44 members and 5 guest present. Steve Wilkerson presiding:

Tom Ilderton and Gordon Hanson  - Walter Upchurch spinning the tunes.

Minutes approved as published in Geechee Times.

Next CSC Social will be March 17 @ 8PM. Tom Lufkin will host the ST. Patrick's Day Party.

Treasurer Report: net income for February, $404.00 making a total of $14,847 in our checking account. A donation will be made to Camp Happy Days.

Geechee Blast: Gale stated she would be forming her committees in the next few weeks. She will need our help.

Membership: BJ reported we have 216 members.

Sunshine: Francis and Lynn continue to keep us smiling with their antics. Be sure to make them aware of anyone who may need a card or encouragement. Don't forget their 50th Wedding anniversary on March 18. They will be celebrating with a big party at Pivots. Everyone invited.

Tom Lufkin reported on the workshop in Columbia. Each club will receive a book entitled SHAG. Each member should sign and the book will be turned in and will be sold on EBAY. He stated that Fun Monday should be the best ever. Stay tuned for more news.

Tom also reported that Dot Smith won the ICON award in Columbia. She will be presented with the award at the Spring Safari, April 21-30. GO DOT!!

Nancy Strother reported on Islanders Shag Club 2007 Workshop. She will be looking for help from our club also. Hospice House will open April 20, 2006 and there will be an exhibition dance at the Francis Marion Hotel on March 25 from 1-3:30. Please contact Nancy for more information.
